The other day, I realized I haven't made myself a wreath in quite some time. I went on a wreath-making spree a couple of years ago so I don't really have a need for new wreaths for our front door just yet. However, that doesn't mean we don't have space for wreaths inside our home!
I came across a bit of Christmas decor inspiration for the kitchen a few days ago and decided it was time to get back into the DIY wreath game. And the best part about these particular wreaths is the fact that I was able to make them using things I already owned.
Materials

Faux fur ribbon

A few years ago, I made a faux boxwood wreath to display on our front door during the summer. It's one of my favourite creations, and every time I come across the square sheets of faux boxwood I used to make it, I snatch up a few. I know I'll have to replace the wreath someday, so I figure it's good to be prepared!
Since there's no shortage of them in my craft room, I decided these square sheets of boxwood would be perfect for this current, Christmas-inspired wreath project.
All I did was cut out a square chunk from the middle of the sheet. I then used the excess boxwood leaves to fill in any skimpy-looking areas throughout the remaining square, creating a fuller wreath.
Next, I cut a piece of my faux fur ribbon and looped it through the wreath. I secured the two ends with a bit of hot glue and allowed it to set for a few minutes.
To amp up the festive look of the wreath, I attached a few sets of bells by threading small pieces of wire through random sections of the boxwood. Twisting the wire ends together against the back of the sheet tightly secured the bells in place without much fuss or effort.
I had the perfect place in mind to display my new wreaths, and all I needed was a bit of tape to set them up exactly how I wanted.
I'm thrilled with how they turned out! And because of how easy they were to put together, I won't be shocked if I end up making a few more for other seasons/holidays.
