Most of you may not consider St. Patrick's Day a wreath-worthy holiday, but I guarantee you'll be itching to make one for your front door when you see the pretty spin I was able to put on mine.
Like Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day isn't a holiday I really plan for or look forward to all year long. However, just because I reserve most of my time and energy for favourites like Halloween and Christmas, that doesn't mean I completely ignore all other special days.
For me, the quickest and most affordable way to add a splash of festive cheer to any space without going overboard is with a homemade wreath. And today, I want to share my take on St. Patrick's Day charm with you!

Tip: The best base for a wreath like this is definitely a thick foam form. Rather than using a hot glue gun to secure your collection of fake flowers, you can rely on the sturdiness of the foam to hold everything in place.
Because I wanted to stick with a pretty, timeless look, I decided to make white my primary colour and to accent it with traditional Paddy's Day shades, like green, yellow, and orange.
Other than the foam form, everything I used to create this wreath came from the dollar store, which allowed me to keep the cost as low as possible!
To create my wreath, all I did was use a pair of linesman pliers to cut the stems of each flower so that they were long enough to stick into the foam form, but short enough that they wouldn't pop through the back.
I tried to scatter the various types of flowers as much as possible, and I worked in the colourful blooms whenever I needed to break up a large section of white ones.
Once I was happy with the way everything looked, I accented my wreath with a few 3D butterfly stickers, as well as a traditional St. Patrick's Day sign!
Tip: Use hot glue or E6000 to keep all of the embellishments that are on top of the flowers in place.
Lastly, I tied a long piece of twine around the top section of the wreath, which will allow me to hang it on our front door year after year.
Not bad for St. Patrick's Day decor, right?
